"Education 📚 is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world 🌎." - Nelson Mandela.⠀

These challenging times have reshaped many aspects of our lives, and teaching is no exception, as today's Fan Friday @ronskina shared with us:
⠀
"I teach middle school math 👩🏫 in Houston. The end of the school year was chaotic with Covid-19 📈. We had to learn a new system, teach with this system, and expect kids 👧🏽👦🏼 to just jump right in."
She notes that teaching might be leaning more towards virtual education than in-person, but the future remains uncertain.
An El Pasoan 🌇 and friend 😁 @ronskina has been one of our early supporters. ⠀
⠀
"I was born and raised in El Paso. I grew up with Chelsie, the owner of Chuco Relic 🐊, and her sisters. We went to elementary school together, and I later worked at that elementary school 🏫 with her mom 👩🏽."
Although she no longer lives in the Sun City ☀️, she still carries her love for it not only on the T-shirts she uses to represent it but also in her mind:
"The small businesses 🏢 are what keep El Paso unique and authentic. The people of El Paso come together and work as a community. Because we are a border town, our Mexican 🇮🇹 culture is embraced by El Pasoans, and we are the sister city to Juarez 🏙. You don’t find many other cities like that."
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us and for representing El Paso in Houston! ❤️
