Making an Impact on Art with Disabilities

“I did not find out I was visually impaired until I was done with my austrosytoma cancer located in the middle of my head. I was diagnosed at 3 months old and ever since then I have had a certain amount of vision left in both eyes. Now I’m 18 and tend to challenge myself with my boundaries and how it affects my art. I use my vibrant colors to express myself both through good and bad experiences. When it comes to drawing my process it’s pretty common, the only thing that is different is how close I have to get to the paper. I’ve used my time in school to learn about different mediums and I’ve stuck with what I like. Now that I’m a recent graduate from Franklin high school, my goal is to do art professionally so, that’s what I’m working towards right now”- @punkart28
