The word “Chingon” comes from Pancho Villa's machine gun operators during the Mexican Revolution in 1910.
Some of the machine guns operated had "browning machine gun co" engraved on the side.
For this reason these operators were called by default "Machín-Gon", by the soldiers. This is how the word we currently know as "Chingón" is derived from.
